With all that has happened within the past week, from his now infamous interview on The Breakfast Club to the reactions from the family of his slain friend and bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, Troy Ave has a lot on his mind.

This week, court papers obtained by Bossip noted that Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell, who was arrested in January and indicted on charges of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon an attempted murder charge, reportedly said the Brooklyn rapper is to blame for the deadly shootout at Irving Plaza in New York City last year. As reported by the outlet, the documents note that Campbell believes it is Troy Ave, not him, who is facing an attempted murder charge, and said police have the rapper on video firing wildly and found the gun used that evening in the rapper’s possession.

As the case continues, Troy Ave himself is focusing on… well, Troy Ave. In an interview with REVOLT, the rapper discussed the incident in question, as well as his brush with death this past December.

“Troy Ave is focusing on Troy Ave,” he explains on his decision to distance himself from his former BSB Records crew and deciding to do business things on his lonesome. “My heart is pure. I’m righteous. I try to do the right thing as much as possible. I don’t f—k nobody over. I don’t do no grimy shit. I be 100. I got loyalty and loyalty is a feeling.”
