When Calvin Harris announced earlier this year that he’d be releasing 10 songs in 2017, we could have never imagined the star power he’d been enlisting to guide him in the goal.
But we should have expected it considering how promising the kick-off was: the Frank Ocean and Migos-assisted “Slide.”
Now the super-producer is calling on his famous friends again for its follow-up: “Heatstroke.”
Inviting powerhouse vocalist Ariana Grande, fellow brain-behind-the-board Pharrell, and fan-favorite lyricist Young Thug, the foursome combine their talents for yet another, like its predecessor, feel-good funk-pop anthem fit for summer.
Thugger takes the lead, forgoing his usual mumble to spit coherently (as we welcomed on Drake’s More Life); Pharrell carries the chorus with his falsetto; and then also backs Ariana’s dreamy refrain.
Harris also shared the full list of writers, background vocalists, and instruments used to create the track.
