With one prison sentence in Florida behind him, Kevin Gates is on his way to Illinois to fight more legal troubles.

Polk County Jail in Polk County, Fla. confirmed with REVOLT TV via phone that Kevin Gates left the jail today. He is reportedly being extradited to Cook County, Ill. to possibly face more charges.

The extradition is the latest in a week of ups and downs for Gates. He just served the majority of a six-month sentence in Polk County for kicking a woman in the face at a 2015 show, and was due to be released a month early. But last Friday, March 24, while he was being processed to get released, authorities found an outstanding out-of-state warrant in Illinois for a felony weapons charge.

He was kept in Polk County without bond until today, and is now on his way to Illinois. REVOLT TV will provide updates on any new charges.
