Just days after the 20th anniversary of his death, the Notorious B.I.G.’s life and legacy will be celebrated in his hometown when the Brooklyn Nets bring “Biggie Night” to the Barclays Center.
Not only will B.I.G’s music be played throughout the game, as will sounds from artists he inspired, but Sean “Diddy” Combs and Biggie’s mom Voletta Wallace will pay tribute with pre-game and halftime ceremonies; a video montage commemorating Big’s life will air; and the Brooklynettes will perform two special routines.
Biggie’s closest family and friends will be in attendance, as his kids T’Yanna and CJ Wallace have been invited, along with Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow. DJ Enuff will also play for the crowd.

Elsewhere to honor the late legend, the Nets will refurbish the basketball gym of Biggie’s middle school, Queen of All Saints School in Brooklyn, on behalf of the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation. Additionally, the Notorious B.I.G. Estate will debut Biggie’s official “Hypnotize” label—including limited-edition t-shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, snapbacks and bags—with a special pop-up shop at Barclays Center from March 9-12.
“Biggie Night” goes down at the Barclays Center when the Nets host the New York Knicks on Sunday, March 12 at 6 p.m. ET.
