LeBron James was in rare form last night and and not on the court. Beats By Dre had a Black Tie Affair for the athletes who endorse their products in the French Quarter of New Orleans with Lil Wayne as the night’s big performer. Weezy had some friends on stage with him that excited The King: Juvenile, Turk, and Mannie Fresh.
“Tunechi, Juvi, Mannie, and Turk in here tonight in their backyard of New Orleans,” James told the crowd while on stage with Wayne and company. “I grew up on these boys right here. I had to let y’all know that everything that go on tonight, y’all better appreciate that shit because it might not happen again.”
“Listen, man,” James also commanded. “I don’t know if these people fully appreciate what’s going on tonight. We got the muthaf–kin’ Hot Boys in this muthaf–ka right now.”
Fat Joe and 2 Chainz also performed with Weezy. Wayne seemed to be taken aback early on in set when the crowd wasn’t going as crazy as they should be.
“I don’t know what they done done,” he began to joke. “I need to talk to my muthaf–kin’ manager ’cause I don’t know what’s going on. They put me in a muthaf–kin’ R&B situation and I am a real blood. Anyway, my name is Tunechi, you in my city, and I made this muthaf–ka.”
Wayne did some of his solo hits, and he and the crew went through some of their Cash Money Millionaires classics like “Project Chick” and “Back That Azz Up.”
