Sampha, “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano”
Last year, we saw Sampha come out of the shadows for his first-ever tour, as a guest on Solange’s A Seat at the Table, and on his own tracks “Timmy’s Prayer” and “Blood On Me.” But nothing has gotten us quite as emotional (or excited for his debut album, Process) as this visual. Stylized simply, the clip features Sampha belting it out at the piano as model Adwoa Abdoa looks on longingly but, seemingly made of sand, she may not really be there at all. Try not to cry. Process is due this Friday, February 3.
Maggie Rogers, “On + Off”
Now that she’s officially become more than a Pharrell-assisted viral sensation, Maggie Rogers is showing off her unique artistry. Like “Alaska” before it, “On + Off” boasts a simple yet alluring concept you can’t take your eyes off of. Backed by two dancers and choreographer Monica Mirabile, a panning camera follow Rogers across a set as she makes costume changes and drops in to join the ladies for a few moves.
Belly, “Re Up” feat. NAV
Overlaid with a VHS effect, Belly and NAV hit scenic roads and bars, lingerie-clad woman in tow, as they lament about their vices.
Bonus: Ariana Grande, “Everyday” (Lyric Video)
Building anticipation and support around the fourth Dangerous Woman single, Grande wavers between silly and sexy, dancing and dabbing, playing with her buns and purring.
