You’re always going to catch the most raw conversations on “Drink Champs” and last night’s guest Mike Epps was insightful, funny, and very frank. He discussed everything with hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, from film and music to his own drug use and selling narcotics.
When asked his take on the Trump administration, Epps said the new president may help the country with economic enhancement. Kind of.
“By him not really understanding how to be president, the streets might really get a chance to eat,” Epps said. “The dope might get back in the streets.”
“People don’t understand,” he added. “Let me tell you something. We love Obama, but when Obama was in office, streets wasn’t eatin’. That’s what they don’t understand about America. When the streets ain’t eatin’, the country ain’t eatin’, man. That’s one thing about them group of dudes. The BMF dudes. They was spending money, man. They had people going to the mall, buying clothes, all types of shit. You can’t discredit the hood. Then [the Feds] locked El Chapo up. I had just talked to him about a hour before it happened.”
As you may know, El Chapo, born Joaquin Guzman, was apprehended in Mexico City earlier this month by U.S. Marines then extradited to this country. Epps joked that he and Chapo were working on a reality show.
“I was hanging with him before Sean Penn” he kept kidding. “I introduced him to Sean. Guess who introduced me to El Chapo? Scott Storch.”
