Calling Washington, D.C. his second home, Sean Combs took a minute onstage at the Bad Boy Reunion Tour on Thursday to salute his alma mater, Howard University.
“I was blessed to go to Howard University. It changed my life,” Combs said, before bringing up the Historically Black university’s current president. Diddy acknowledged that Howard changed his life and empowered him to believe he could do anything, which is why he paid it forward to the next generation of dreamers by donating a $1 million check to start the Sean Combs scholarship fund for students in need of financial aid.

“I give all glory to God; it’s a blessing to be able to give back, y’all!” he said. We already know Diddy values education, as just last month he opened his own charter school in Harlem for grades six to twelve.
