The hustle and bustle in New York City during Fashion Week is unlike any other. While typically we take for granted the daily outbursts of personality that pour through the streets, rushing back and forth during Fashion Week it is hard to look away, as mavens from around the world come together in the name of style.
New York Fashion Week S/S 2017: YEEZY SZN 4 Review
This weekend really started on Friday with the star-studded festivities at Baja East’s “major” afterparty that featured a dope set by Rae Sremmurd, and Sav Noir, who brought out the Thrillers. Amid cocktails and gagging with friends over the jaw-dropping collections of the day, we remind ourselves about what is to come for tomorrow. Hopping in our cabs, we scurry home, then prepare for the following day’s events, which for us included Alexander Wang, HoodByAir, and Christian Siriano.
Attending Alexander Wang’s fashion show is a highlight every season. He always treats his guests well, serving designs that leave you salivating as you plot to get your hands on your favorite piece. While talking backstage Wang described his inspiration behind this collection, using American sportswear and translating it with his own mastery in design. He incorporated silk and lace fabrics with bright neon colors using athletic silhouettes.
This is just a glimpse at our top must-haves from the collection:

HoodByAir has been ever evolving since its inception. Designer Shayne Oliver enjoys making dramatic statements with limited color, joining their customary black and white with red. Keeping close to their punk style there was no shortage of leather, metallic shine, and asymmetrical shapes. Probably the most startling aspect of the show was the liquid paste plastered on each model’s head; it was rather hard not to stare.
These pieces will be best-sellers out of this collection:

Christian Siriano had something to say this Fashion Week, and it was loud and clear. The former Project Runway winner has conquered many aspects of design from shoes to evening gowns. This season he shocked the press with his fringe detailing and ruffled pinstriped garments. In addition to his choice of textiles he selected full-figured models to strut down the runway.
Similar to Yeezy , Siriano is a fan of pushing culture forward, and it transcended here:
