Comedian Kevin Hart once told audiences to “laugh at my pain”; now he wants them to take their health very seriously. The actor is traveling the country encouraging people to embrace health and wellness as the ambassador of the Rally HealthFest. The free tour has stopped in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York and will head to Atlanta next.
“I’m big on standing behind my words,” Hart told REVOLT. “I don’t like to be a person that just says things to say ’em; I like to put my actions behind what I believe in, so this whole #MoveWithHart, #RallyWithKevin movement that you see is something that coincides with my lifestyle. I don’t just preach health and wellness; I practice it.”

Hart and his own personal trainer lead a full day of bootcamps, yoga, cycling and clean eating during the HealthFest, which has reached thousands of people. At the stop in New York, fans of all ages followed Hart’s every move. It was pandemonium, but it was also a way for Hart to be accessible and lead by example.
“Here’s the advice: Nothing happens overnight,” Hart said. “Everybody wants results right away. I had a saying that everybody wants to be famous but nobody wants to do the work. It’s the same with getting healthy.”

And in his interview with REVOLT, Hart cautioned that quick fixes only have quick results: “What’s dope about putting in the hard work are the results when they come. That’s the best thing, when you go, ‘Look at me nine months ago. God, but look at me now!’ And then you pat yourself on the back and go, ‘Yo, I did it; I did it the right way.’”
