The show, premiering August 12, gives a fresh and exciting take on the rise of hip-hop and the last days of disco, told through the lives, music and dance of the South Bronx kids at the center the movement.
The Get Down
The Get Down is from Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet), so expect unique cinematography. It also has authentic pedigree on the production team, including executive producer Nas, associate producer Grandmaster Flash and supervising producer Nelson George, so you know the music and history will be right.
