Summer 2017 will be lit. At least for Tyrese Gibson.

After attending the BET Awards on Sunday night, the singer and actor spoke with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and confirmed his return as Sgt. Robert Epps in the upcoming “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

Gibson previously starred in the original “Transformers” trilogy for director Michael Bay, but has yet to make an appearance in the series since its “Age of Extinction,” which hit theaters back in 2014. Though plot details are being kept under wraps, Gibson is set to star alongside Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, and Mark Wahlberg, the later whom he co-starred with in “Four Brothers.” Never one to shy away from revealing projects on his slate, Gibson stated “It’s going to be a lot of energy out there in the universe—’Fast 8′, ‘Transformers 5’, another album.”

While a schedule of that magnitude sounds stress-inducing, the Watts native also shot “Fast Five” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” simultaneously, with both films reaching the top ten highest grossing films of 2011.

Ty’s film credits may be growing, but the announcement of a seventh album is very much a surprise, as Gibson spent most of 2015 declaring that his sixth LP, Black Rose, would be his final album, citing the duties of fatherhood.

“Pick-ups and drop offs is real for me. Bedtime stories, helping her with her homework, that’s all real for me. I gotta do what I gotta do. I love music. I’m never gonna stop doing music as a whole, cause it’s my first love, but it’s definitely my last album,” Gibson told The Breakfast Club.
