If you were one of the special few to witness Yeezy Season 3, Kanye West’s fashion show and album premiere hybrid, at New York’s Madison Square Garden earlier this year, then you may remember him playing a teaser for Only One, a game dedicated to his late mother Donda.
He said then, “The idea of the game is my mom traveling through the gates of heaven. I just wanna bring as much beauty to the world as possible.”
Now, the game’s official trailer has debuted at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) gaming convention.
In the animated clip, a woman can be seen soaring toward, or being pulled by, rays of sunlight breaking through clouds in the sky. She is joined by others who, like her, are dressed in all-white. Soon, she is seen riding a galloping Pegasus and, later, developing her own set of wings that she uses to rocket towards the sun.
Only One shares its name with the Paul McCartney-featured song Kanye released in 2014; it was one he described as being written from his mother’s perspective, through ‘Ye, and to his daughter North.
Having been designed with help from Encyclopedia Pictura, and in development for more than a year, the release date or platform for Only One has yet to be announced.
