As fans continue to struggle with the reality of Prince’s passing, tributes for the icon roll on.
The latest tribute came via Tuesday night’s (April 26) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which featured a moving performance from D’Angelo. Honoring the incomparable legend, who died last Thursday (April 21) at the age of 57, D’Angelo delivered a soothing rendition of “Sometimes It Snows In April,” a song of 1986’s Parade, while joined by Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, who together form a Prince cover band called “Princess.” Using nothing else but a piano and microphone, the trio did justice to one of the Purple One’s classic.
