As the world mourns the loss of Prince, who was found dead at 57 on Thursday in an elevator at his Paisley Park recording complex, friends and fans congregate to the beloved safe haven of the mysterious musical icon. Celebrated and known for his eclectic style, undeniable talent, philanthropy outreach and his devotion to his home state of Minnesota.

Born and raised in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” Prince cultivated a compound that became a respectable ground for his family and fans, just 20 miles southwest of Minneapolis. Paisley Park would be Prince’s creative home for 30 years, and also the scene of his tragic death.

“I just saw him on Saturday night here, he had party at Paisley,” said a woman REVOLT spoke to who is a longtime fan. “He didn’t perform but he came out and showed off his new piano and guitar, and talked about how he’s been enjoying his piano concerts. I was privileged to see a show a month ago out at Paisley when he debuted them. I feel really thankful and blessed to have been around when he was around, because there is no one and there will never be any one else like him.”

Uniting and empowering a sense of self-love as well as allied humanity for all, a fan added, “he made me see everyone for who they are and not judge them. Prince would get us all together and make sure we love God first and that we respected each other. Love for one another, that was his thing.”
