After being 2015’s mystery man as a result of the Drake and Meek Mill feud, Quentin Miller has since emerged out of the shadows through not just the music, but interviews.
When he isn’t throwing his bid in for XXL‘s Freshman 2016, the rapper is chalking up headlines via interviews with DJ Vlad. A few weeks back, Miller confirmed rumors that he took a beatdown from members of Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers camp at the Nike Store in Los Angeles. Now, in a second segment from the same interview, he divulges on working with Drake for 2015’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Of course, this collaboration is what signaled the infamous feud between Drizzy and Meek, after the latter claimed he used Miller as a ghostwriter for the project.
Keeping details discreet, while refraining from going into the thick of it, Miller confirmed working with the “Hotline Bling” rapper for the LP and said that the pair were “on the same wave length” during studio sessions. Calling their work together a career “highlight,” Miller called what took place months after the album’s release, “unfortunate.”
“I feel like all the negative shit, like all the shit from last year, is unfortunate to me because it clouds a project that I feel like was a strong project,” he shared. “Now there’s like a stain on the legacy of that project, but I hope years down the line when it’s all over with, people can just look at that project and say, ‘wow this is a great project.’”
