Dr. Luke has been embroiled in a legal battle with his star artist Kesha over claims he won’t release her from a Kemosabe Record contract after she claims he abused her, both mentally and sexually.

Now, it seems he may be the one being let out of a deal as a report suggests the hit producer could be dropped by parent company, Sony Music.

According to thewrap.com, Sony could sever ties with the producer before his deal ends next year. He was broad on board to Sony to set up a label when Doug Morris tapped him as the next Jimmy Iovine. Dr. Luke has backed a series of hits from Katie Perry to Kelly Clarkson. However, Kesha has alleged the musician is a a bullish personality and a growing number of women, including Adele and Demi Lavato, have stood by her.

Dr. Luke has not be found guilty of any crime and a deposition by Kesha in the past reveals under oath her testimony that she never had sex with the producer, which contradicts her recent claims that her label head drugged her and took advantage of the singer.
