Charli XCX has a year full of projects in the works. With the first being the announcement of her new record label, Vroom Vroom Recordings.

“Vroom Vroom Recordings is my new, experimental pop label and it will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness,” the British singer-songwriter told The Fader. “The artists coming up through it will be sharp, potent, deadly, and ultimately, will leave their mark on pop music.”

After already signing two new acts, RIVRS and CuckooLander, the launch of the indie label will set to expand the UK singer’s reach and push for up-and-coming artists. Vroom Vroom Recordings will also release Charli XCX’s surprise new EP (appropriately titled) Vroom Vroom, this Friday.

“I’ve worked with SOPHIE on the new EP and what we create together speaks for itself,” XCX tells The Fader. “Sometimes we get aggressive, sometimes we get beautiful; he pushes me and I push him. I’m making beautiful party songs right now and this is just the start. The album goes to other places and I can’t wait for people to hear it. I feel the most creative I have in a long time and I couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter.”

To celebrate the new venture, Charli has released the title track “Vroom Vroom” as well as two of her favorite tracks of the moment from her recent label signees. Stream below.
