As the buzz radiates from his hit single “Say It,” Tory Lanez is already on to the next thing: the album.
While details about his still-in-the-works debut album remain under wraps, the Toronto-bred rapper-singer, who inked a deal with Benny Blanco’s Mad Love Records imprint (via Interscope Records) last year, has been steady prepping the project.
In addition to the success of “Say It,” which continues to float above the top 30 mark of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the rapper-and-singer has the LP’s latest single, “LA Confidential,” also making waves.
“Just wait for the album,” Tory told REVOLT on the red carpet of Power 106’s Crush concert last weekend. “I think my level of just musicality right now is on a whole other level.”
For further emphasis, Lanez stressed out the importance of being “on a whole other level,” because according to him, there’s no competition.
“I don’t feel a competitive thing,” he advised. “I’m on a whole other [level]. They doing stuff I did three years ago.”
Tory Lanez’s “LA Confidential” single is available now on iTunes.
