Before the 58th Annual Grammy Awards dawn upon us next month, Kendrick Lamar reminds viewers of the journey it took to get there in a promo video for the big night.

And with 11 nominations to his name, the most of any artist nominated, along with a big performance set in place, there’s no question why the world needs to be reminded.

So taking to his hometown of Compton, Kendrick joins several of his fellow natives for this nearly three-minute Grammy promo, aptly titled “Witness Greatness.” The video starts off with locals rapping along to “Alright,” before K. Dot tops things off with a triumphant closer.

The promo is part of the Grammys’ “Witness Greatness” campaign, which, according to the Recording Academy exec Evan Greene, “brings to life those transcendent moments of achievement that captivate us.”

“This campaign celebrates these breakthrough triumphs that raise us to new and unexpected heights as the world watches.”

Don’t forget, Music’s Biggest Night takes place February 15th.
