With production finally underway for 2pac’s highly-anticipated biopic “All Eyez On Me”, details on the cast and synopsis of the film have now been announced. As for the lead role in question, Demetrius Shipp Jr. has reportedly been casted to play the late rapper. Despite being relatively unknown as an actor or carrying a professional experience reel, Shipp was chosen specifically by producer L.T. Hutton because of his uncanny resemblance to the iconic artist.
This will be Shipp’s first major acting role, as he will appear alongside Jamal Woodard, which is the same actor who played Biggie Smalls in the 2009 biopic “Notorious.” The Benny Boom-directed motion picture, has yet to set a release date, but will highlight 2pac’s controversial and inspiring legacy leading up to his 1996 death in Las Vegas, NV.
