J. Cole is bringing his talents to TV.
HBO has announced via twitter that an exclusive broadcast of Cole’s “Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming Concert” will air on January 9th at 10 p.m. EST.
Those who missed his 2014 Forest Hills Drive tour will be able to re-live the experience of him performing in his hometown of Fayatteville, North Carolina.
The homecoming affair is described as “part concert film and part backstage pass” with performances from his entire 2014 Forrest Hills Drive album and a narration of the rapper’s life from himself and those close to him.
The event itself also included performances from Jay Z, Drake and openers Jeremih, YG and Big Sean.
Scott Lazer has signed on as director while Cole and Dreamville president Ibrahim Hamad serve as executive producers.
