Despite a report by TMZ earlier this week that Bobby Shmurda could be released from prison this week, the rapper will remain behind bars after a bail hearing today (December 3) where he was denied bond.
According to Billboard, family members of the Epic Records artist were present in the court room and the rapper himself appeared before a judge, as did his attorney Alex Spiro. Unfortunately, the bail request was denied; it was reported that his family put up real estate as collateral in an attempt to secure the $2 million bond. The trial is still expected to begin in January.
