Sia is know for many things, ranging from her soaring songwriting ability to her hiding her face during public appearances. Another trademark of hers, at least on her last album, 1000 Forms of Fear, was using dancer Maddie Ziegler for interpretive performances of her songs. Well, the pair were reunited yesterday (December 1) for Sia’s visit to The Ellen Show.

Sia chose a dimly lit, sparse living room set to perform on, where she was cloaked behind a black dress pinned to the wall to sing “Alive.”

Ziegler sported a matching black dress and Sia’s trademark bob, which included her current half black/half blonde aesthetic. The ‘Dance Moms’ star strode from side to side, punched a window pane into pieces and ended by dropping to the floor in tandem with Sia.
