Now, more than ever, is a time to unite. Not just within the communities and culture, but for the state of music. As hip-hop is known to create a driving wedge between West coast and East coast, the rap OG and everyone’s favorite Uncle, Snoop Dogg, promotes peace with his LBC Movement.

“The LBC movement was more about me going back to the community and trying to connect the Eastside, the Westside and the North side,” Snoop told REVOLT, “which have never been together before.”

Setting a foundation to allow for an alliance within the neighborhood as a whole, Snoop teams up with DJ Drama and the LBC Movement for the latest installment in Drama’s Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, titled Beach City. The aim is to showcase the very best up-and-coming talents from Long Beach like Yung Zeke, Lil Moe, Jooba Lac, Daz Dillinger and more.

“I wanted to put some peace, love and great music together with some young talent that was willing to stand behind me and really push the movement,” he explained.
