When Adele resurfaced to say “Hello,” she brought along Mack Wilds for the introduction and now he returns for his own love offering. The part-time actor/R&B crooner shares an old school type of love, with his latest single “Love in the 90z.” Inspired by his favorite era, as well as his upcoming VH1 movie “The Breaks,” Wilds pulls in the industry’s most elite producers in order to recreate the nostalgic feel.

“I teamed up with Salaam, Teddy Riley, Scott Storch, James Poyser, and we all got together to do a song to recreate the feeling I got from shooting the movie,” he told REVOLT. “It’s very much inspired by ‘The Breaks’ and the time period, but we did a modern twist on it.”

“Why don’t we fall in love like we did in the ’90s?” he sings. “When TLC wren’t too proud to beg/ When that nigga Keith made you sweat/ Like when Jodeci sang ‘Forever My Lady.’”

“Love in the 90z” is the first offering from Mack’s full-length debut album, set to release next year via Louder Than Life/Epic Records. “The Breaks” premieres on VH1 on January 4.
