Jimmy Winfrey reached a plea deal with prosecutors yesterday (November 20) that will see the shooter in the Lil Wayne tour bus incident spend 10 years behind bars, followed by 10 years of probation.

According to reports, Winfrey, who in April fired on a series of vehicles (one of which was carrying Wayne), pleaded guilty to a lesser amount of charges in return for a deal. Court documents listed Birdman and Young Thug as associates of Winfrey; the gunman was also Thug’s tour manager. At the time of the incident, Weezy and Birdman were in a war of words over the rapper’s contract and the delayed release of his Carter V album.

Thug posted a video clip on Instagram days before the incident with Winfrey in tow, where the pair threatened the Young Money superstar. Winfrey also reportedly called a cell phone owned by Birdman shortly after the shooting. Birdman and Thug have denied any involvement.
