In the lonely hour, inner-conflicts tend to surface. Well at least that’s the case for G-Eazy. Premiering his introspective latest visual “Me, Myself and I,” featuring singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha off his upcoming When It’s Dark Out, the 26-year-old Oakland MC addresses his scattered thoughts and wage of personal battles. Walking into a surprise birthday party, G-Eazy dismisses all the attendees, including A-Trak, and escapes the madness to gather his thoughts.
“Surprise, surprise, another night of turn up,” he says sarcastically as he hides inside the bathroom. “It changes though now that I’m famous,” he raps. “Everyone knows how this lifestyle is dangerous.”
The first listen follows his major label debut album These Things Happen, for a darker, midnight music vibe. “It’s midnight music. I live like a vampire,” he tells The Boombox. “The music is created in the night and inspired by the night. Everybody sees the world a little differently when it’s dark out.”
