French Montana is back to cause chaos with his upcoming Fetty Wap-collab project, Coke Zoo. The intro track “First Time” found its way online Monday morning (October 26) and showcases the Bronx rapper reminiscing on those signature moments in his life that changed everything.
With a little help from Puff Daddy and Fetty Wap, the Coke Boy reflects on popping his cherry with everything from that “first brick from Arizona” to that “first billion-dollar bitch from California.” Hmm. Now, who could he be referring to? The beat, produced by The MeKanics and AK47, sounds like any typical French Montana anthem — easy to follow, ethereal chanting, heavy with the high hats and a fortuitous church bell — for good measure.
The track starts and ends strong with Puff speaking among friends. “I’m asking, first and foremost guys,” he says with, what could only be, feigned earnestness. “Haven’t I given to this culture? Would there be you without me? Do I not deserve this? Did I not show us how to ball?” Indeed Puff, you did.
