“There’s a place across the chasm where ideas, values and how to win are completely different,” Frank Cooper, BuzzFeed chief marketing and content officer.
Frank Cooper kicked off the first full day of the REVOLT Music Conference 2015 and the longtime music and marketing executive discussed the new values for winning in music and beyond. Cooper talked about the chasm that exists between the history of the music business (“where you can still make money”) and the future of the music business, which, the BuzzFeed boss emphasized, is where the winners lie.
You can be Blockbuster or Barnes & Noble still and succeed, however, it’s Netflix and Amazon who are competing at the speed of culture.
Cooper told the gathered crowd “art and science are finally coming together, where science can serve art and create an equal role in creation.”
