Disclosure, “Nocturnal” Feat. The Weeknd

With both artists continuing to explore the top of the charts separately, Disclosure and The Weeknd now team up for “Nocturnal,” off the dance duo’s sophomore album Caracal. As The Weekend finds the disco-infected pop vibe that Disclosure is so prone to offering, it feels like an effortless blend of straightforward house R&B. The single comes as one of many from the Lawrence’s brothers’ anticipated album—along with Lorde, Miguel and Sam Smith—due out tomorrow.

Sia, “Alive”

Just when we thought her Instagram snippet was all we were going to hear from Sia while we wait for her upcoming album, she unleashed the full electrifying ballad “Alive.” The first single from This Is Acting is a dramatic pop production with co-written with rising singer/songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. and Adele. Like “Alive,” the rest of Sia’s new album will comprise songs the Australian singer initially wrote for other performers, including Beyoncé and Rihanna. Wavves, “V”

Wavves will return with their fifth record, the aptly-titled V, on October 2nd via Ghost Ramp/Warner Bros. Now thanks to NPR, the 11-track effort is readily available for a complete stream. Longtime lead bassist Stephen Pope confirms the project is more energetic and full of driving percussion than previous albums. “I think we were all in a better state while recording the songs. We also collaborated more and wrote all the songs together,” he told City Pages. Have a listen to “Pony,” a new fast-paced offering from the California band above.
