2 Chainz, “No Dayz Off”
2 Chainz celebrated his 37th birthday over the weekend, but that doesn’t mean it was an off day for the Atlanta rapper. In honor of the occasion, Chainz dropped a new song, appropriately titled “No Dayz Off,” produced by Zaytoven. The Hairweave Killer boasts on the grind and hustle of his work ethic, while finding time for the fun and games. In between dining on lobster tails and rocking Ferragamo and Fendi, he signs off on his seven days a week trapping schedule for those who took his silence as a sign of weakness. The track comes months after 2 Chainz dropped his mixtape Trapavelli Tre featuring Wiz Khalifa, The Dream and Kevin Gates. Take it to the trap above.
Young Thug, “She Notice Me”
In between exchanging words with Plies over the weekend, Young Thug and Barter 6 producer Wheezy reunited for a brand new track titled “She Notice Me.” Swapping between his signature croon-rap and syrupy scratchy warbling, Thugger lets loose bars about bedroom rendezvous and lavish gifts to himself, backed by his somewhat entertaining adlibs. It’s a nice stopgap between Barter 6 and his upcoming major label debut, Hy!£UN35.
Ty Dolla $ign, “When I See Ya” Feat. Fetty Wap
Two-for-two. Ty Dolla $ign and Fetty Wap link up on Ty’s new single, “When I See Ya,” off his debut album Free TC. Over the Cardio and John Juliano production, Ty signals for the bedroom as he serenades his girl by blatantly singing “We gon’ f * when I see ya,” and Fetty is the point-of-contact for the ladies and freaks. Ty shared the single on Beats 1 last week, and confirmed a November 13 release date for his project. Both Ty and Fetty have found breakout success in a similar lane, so it was only fitting they share a rugged and romantic track, that typically would have been reserved for rappers.
