Justin Bieber’s solo comeback is starting off on the right foot.

The pop star’s “What Do You Mean,” which has already broken Spotify streaming records, is now his first number one record.

“Looks like we did it, finally,” Beiber told his fans in an IG post. “I wanna say we did it again, but it’s my first number one. So, thank you guys, you guys are the best.”

The song debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart after selling over 335,000 digital copies in the U.S. The record is the first offering from Bieber’s forthcoming album, due November 13th. The singer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and explained his tears during his Video Music Awards performance of “What Do You Mean.”

“I just wasn’t expecting them to support me the way they did,” he explained. “Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed. I worked so hard at this album, I worked so hard at becoming the man I want to become and then stepping into situations you can’t help but feel judged. So I was feeling judged and wanting to win so badly and wanting to what I love so badly, I just put everything on the line, and I think that was so special about the emotional moment at the end. It was authentic, it was real. I was just really wanting it so bad.”

In continuation of the celebration Bieber also released an acoustic video “What Do You Mean?”
