On the season premiere of LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s HBO talk show, “The Shop: Uninterrupted,” on Friday (May 28), the two co-hosts will be joined by the likes of JAY-Z, Bad Bunny, WNBA star Nneka Ogwumike and marketing executive Paul Rivera.
For those who can’t wait for the show’s airing in the next couple of days, the series posted a teaser for the episode today (May 26). In it, Hov is revealing some surprising information about how he went about concerts and other performances in his earlier rap days. According to the new Rock and Rock Hall of Famer, his lyrics used to completely slip his mind during certain shows.
When James asked JAY if he was ever so “zoned out” at the concert that he forgot people were in the audience watching him, the Brooklyn rapper and business mogul replied, “In the beginning, I used to get on the stage and just forget all my lyrics,” which made everyone in the shot start laughing.
In more JAY-Z news, he announced that the Made In America festival will be back in action this year. “We are thrilled to announce Made in America 2021 on the legendary Benjamin Franklin Parkway,” Hov said in a statement. “This year will be like no other, as Made in America celebrates 10 years of music history making moments.”
Though the lineup as yet to be announced, early bird tickets are now available to buy on the event’s website. Plus, two-day passes are now starting at $99.50 plus fees, while early bird prices are available.
