A white woman whose racist bakery rant went viral is defending her choice of words because her husband is Black.
On Sunday (March 21), Stephanie Denaro, who is an avid supporter of Donald Trump, was caught on video calling a Black Manhattan bakery store worker a “b**ch a** n**ger” after he refused to take her order because she would not wear a mask.
“She said, ‘Are you not going to serve me because you’re a b**ch a** N-word?’” Vic, the bakery employee, told PIX11. Luckily, he kept his composure during the racist tirade, but other customers came to his defense and asked Denaro, who was with her biracial children, to leave the business.
Denaro is now defending her actions. During an interview with PIX 11, she said the word was something that “people of all different ethnicities and races use.”
“Is it ok if their father [uses that word] when he’s talking about people he knows?” she asked. “Their father is Black. It doesn’t matter that the children are hearing it.” She also said that “if a Black woman was using that same phrase that I used, nobody would be making a big deal about it.”
Denaro has previously had run-ins with the bakery about their mask ordinance. “I’ve been to that location many times, and sometimes, the security guards have argued with me about masks,” she said.
However, she does not feel like she should have to wear a mask because she believes COVID-19 is a fabrication. She also believes the conspiracy theories that the presidential election was “stolen” from Former President Donald Trump.
“They’re forcing people in New York City to wear masks. It’s political theater,” she told the NY Daily News. “I don’t believe in COVID-19. It’s a hoax to convince people to use absentee ballots to steal the election from Donald Trump.”
