Two weeks removed from calling on fans to stream Summer Walker’s new Still Over It album, London on da Track, the father of their child together, is sending congratulations to his one-time girlfriend.
Jumping onto Instagram on Thursday night (Nov. 18), London posted an image of Walker’s new album cover to his timeline. In the caption, he shows support for Walker after fans speculated that she was talking about him on her new LP. London produced part of this new project as well as Walker’s debut album.
In the caption, London wrote: “I’m grateful! To all my kids imma continue to go hard for y’all i’m also extending congratulations to Summer for breaking records..I’m honored to have been apart of it …looking forward to stepping into Gods next chapter.. slatty #STILLOVERIT.”
London and Walker had been dating for two years before Walker announced their split earlier this year. Together, they welcomed a baby girl this past March. On her Still Over It song “4th Baby Mama,” Walker discusses a failing romance, and fans have determined that she’s talking about London.
“Damn, I ain’t know niggas be out here tryna trap bitches/Never took me nowhere lavish ‘til you seen Drake hop on the track with it/If you ask me, you was actin’, whole time just acting/You ain’t give a fuck about me, you was just tryna cash in,” Walker sings on the track.
Despite the record and speculation surrounding it, London continues supporting Walker — which makes sense, because he produced tracks for the project. Thus far, the LP has done some serious numbers. In its first week of release, the LP moved 165,000 equivalent album units before debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Additionally, Walker made history by becoming the only woman besides Taylor Swift to have at least 18 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at once.
