T.I. is down to battle 50 Cent in a Verzuz challenge.
During a recent episode of Complex’s “Open Late With Peter Rosenberg,” T.I. opened up about life in quarantine and who he would want to face-off with for Verzuz.
“Shit been solid,” he said about quarantining. “I think it’s a perfect time to make changes in your life, learn new skills, read new books. Just kinda like apply yourself differently.”
When asked what his favorite Verzuz battle has been so far, the “What You Know” MC said that he really enjoyed Babyface and Teddy Riley’s showdown. He also revealed that he would be willing to go hit-for-hit against anybody from his generation.
A lot of fans have sent T.I. requests to battle Jeezy, but he believes he should go up against 50 Cent. Fans also mentioned T.I. versus Lil Wayne, but the Atlanta native says, “He gonna be a tough one.”
The Paper Trail rapper has been in talks with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland about the popular series, but he didn’t reveal if anything was actually lined up.
50 Cent has yet to respond to T.I.’s challenge, but earlier this month, he said that he was down to battle Snoop Dogg.
“It would make more sense catalog wise, me and Snoop. Cause we could compete every step of the way,” 50 explained during a recent interview with Big Boy. “Ja Rule? He got like five, six good duets. The hit records are all him and Jennifer Lopez, him and Mary J. Blige, him and Ashanti. Him and a woman, a female. All the records. He got one hit song by himself, ‘Holla Holla.’”
Last month, Ja Rule challenged the “Candy Shop” rapper to a battle. “I want all the smoke,” Ja told Fat Joe over the phone. “I’ll behave.”
