On Tuesday (Sept. 24), a phone call between 6ix9ine’s former manager, Shotti, and Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods member, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, leaked online.
During the conversation, both Shotti and Mel Murda state that they are not happy with the Dummy Boy rapper. In the clip, Shotti can be heard saying he plans to “feed” the 23-year-old. “[6ix9ine] is trying to dry snitch at the same time, homie,” Mel Murda said. “But he keep saying, ‘F–k Treyway, F–k that n–a, Treyway. Ain’t no n—a, Treyway. F–k Treyway.’” Shortly after, Shotti replies. “I’ma feed him though,” he said while laughing.
This isn’t the first time that a phone conversation has leaked during 6ix9ine’s trial. During a phone call with Jim Jones and Mel Murda, Jones informed the alleged gang member that 6ix9ine needs to be violated. “He not a gang member no more,” Jones said to Mel Murda. “He was never a gang member. They going to have to violate shorty because shorty is on some bulls–t.”
While taking the stand, 6ix9ine informed prosecutors that Jones was a “retired member” and a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. “He’s a retired rapper,” 6ix9ine said when asked about Jones. The prosecutor proceeded to ask the 23-year-old if he is a Nine Trey member to which 6ix9ine replied “yes.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that prosecutors are looking into witness protection for the “Gummo” spitter. If approved, 6ix9ine will have to remove his tattoos in order to ensure his safety. “United States Marshals Service, which runs the witness protection program, would pay for the removal of Mr. Hernandez’s signature face tattoos,” The New York Times stated.
A former F.B.I official, Jay Kramer, stated that there are options for 6ix9ine if he does enter the program. “Despite how connected we are, and the appetite for social media content in this country, there are places where, if this kid gets a haircut and wears normal clothes, no one would know or care who he is.”
