TMZ has reported that rapper Kurupt was reportedly rushed to the hospital following an alcohol relapse on the set of We TV’s “Marriage Boot Camp.” Sources connected to the show’s production told the outlet that Kurupt was absent for two days of filming because he had been admitted to the hospital to seek medical treatment after a “boozy night.” Insiders said that the rapper and the rest of the cast were drinking on the set of the show. However, Kurupt drank so much that he fell ill and had to be treated.
Production has since told cast members that there will no longer be alcohol available to them in the house for the rest of the season. We TV is also contemplating banning alcohol for upcoming seasons.
According to Complex, Kurupt is due to appear on the show with his estranged wife, Jovan “Tookie” Brown. The former couple made headlines in July 2018 when Brown claimed that the rapper abandoned her amid her cancer diagnosis. Brown then requested $14,000 in spousal support claiming that her husband left her in her time of need.
Brown said that she was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer and Kurupt refused to cover her medical bills or living expenses. She also claimed that the rapper removed all of the money from their business accounts and withdrew her access, according to The Blast.
The outlet reported that Kurupt has denied the allegations made against him saying that Brown’s cancer diagnosis happened after they were no longer together. Nonetheless, he claims to have helped with some of her medical expenses. Brown, on the other hand, said that they split in 2017, while Kurupt says they parted ways in 2010. He even said that Brown has a new boyfriend, former NBA star Gary Payton.
Kurupt and Brown are on “Marriage Boot Camp” in hopes of settling their differences.
