Naturally, after JAY-Z announced his partnership with the NFL, there were a ton of mixed reactions. This morning (Aug. 26), REVOLT TV’s chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs offered his support towards the Brooklyn spitter’s latest deal.

While posting to Instagram, Diddy stated that the 4:44 emcee continues to fight for his people in a selfless way. The “Making the Band” creator is proud of his brother for making a strategic move in the fight for social justice.

“Hov is one of the greatest to ever do it, he has been there more than anybody from the hip hop culture, including me,” Diddy began. “He always has been so selfless and fights for other people. We as a people can not be divided and conquered at this time!”

Elsewhere into his post, Diddy explains that Jay’s partnership is larger than the NFL. The mogul states that the deal allows everyone to join together and marks a step in the right direction.

“This isn’t just about the NFL, it’s about how black and brown people are treated daily across this country,” he wrote. “We have to come together and make the hard decisions, nobody is going to do it for us. ⁣I believe in taking action, taking steps towards the right direction and I support all my brothers that are out here taking ACTION.”

Earlier this month, the father-of-three announced that he entered a partnership with the NFL and Roc Nation. For this deal, Jay will serve as the NFL’s entertainment strategist and will consult on the Super Bowl halftime show. While speaking on the deal, Jay said that he is looking forward to bringing about a positive change.

“With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country,” JAY-Z said to ESPN. “Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas — instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America.”
