A$AP Ferg is ecstatic that his brother A$AP Rocky is home.
During a conversation with Billboard, which was published yesterday (Aug. 21), Ferg recalls his experience with Rocky following his release from Swedish prison. The “Plain Jane” rapper stated that Rocky showed off his fingernail designs before they began celebrating.
“He had a smiley face, he had a broken heart,” Ferg revealed to Billboard. “He had different s–t. He was like, ‘Yo. Check the nails out.’ [Laughs] We were just partying when we seen each other. We partied all through the night, and when we broke day, I had woke him up to go to Kanye’s Sunday Service.”
Speaking on Kanye West’s Sunday Service, earlier this month, we reported that Rocky was in attendance. The New York rapper was seen smiling from ear to ear as he chatted it up with the Chicago rapper and model Kendall Jenner. Although there were photographs of Rocky smiling, Ferg recalls the mixed emotions that Rocky was dealing with. All in all, Rocky is happy to be home.
“On our way there, it was kind of quiet,” Ferg admitted. “He was just talking about his experience being in there and how he was happy to be home, but then, when we got there, the preacher was preaching and the people were singing and he got quiet. Two other people that were locked up with him, one of them started crying, and [another] was just quiet and was in the moment. We all just hugged it out. We were just happy to say that our brothers were home.”
Back in July, Ferg revealed to REVOLT that the “Fashion Killa” spitter was doing his best to remain positive during a rather difficult time. “He’s [Rocky] been writing letters and receiving letters. We’re just working to get him out. We’re trying everything in our power. We have a few things in the works. So, my hopes are up,” Ferg said.
More recently, Ferg dropped his latest LP, Floor Seats. The 30-year-old rapper is set to take the stage at this year’s MTV VMAs on Aug. 26.
