REVOLT TV’s chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has made a shocking announcement. He is considering bringing back his hit MTV show, “Making The Band.”

While on Instagram yesterday (July 8), Diddy explained that he had a conversation with MTV in regards to bringing back his show, which debuted back in 2002.

“Years ago I did something that will probably go down in television history,” he began. He also explained that he’s on the fence about the idea but feels as though finding the next generation of talent is his calling. “Something so great, you don’t want to mess with it, you just want to leave it alone,” he explained. “Don’t get it twisted, that’s one of the most fun experiences of my life with Making The Band…I feel that’s my calling in the culture, taking young next talent to the next level.”

Ultimately, he decided to let social media handle the conversation. The entrepreneur explained to his fans that if they want the show to return then they should speak up.

“Should I do Making The Band again?” he wrote as the Instagram caption. “If y’all want me to bring it back, leave a comment with #IWantMyMTB.”

From 2002 to 2009, MTV aired Making The Band, which was aimed to find boy bands and girl groups. The show gave birth to Danity Kane, Day26, Donnie Klang and Da Band.

Fans and notable names such as Wale, Dwyane Wade and Seth Rogen have already voted towards the show’s potential reboot. The 49-year-old record producer is no stranger to shows that help create a star. More recently, Diddy is a judge on Fox’s “The Four,” which aims to find music’s next big star. He sits alongside DJ Khaled and Meghan Trailor.
