At only 21 years old, Jaden Smith is making impactful moves.
Smith shared on social media that he launched a vegan pop-up food truck called “I Love You Restaurant.” The pop-up truck serves free vegan food to people on Skid Row, an area in Los Angeles that contains one of the United States’ largest homeless populations. Yesterday (July 7), he explained in his Instagram post that his pop-up truck is only the beginning.
“The @ILoveYouRestaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free,” he wrote as his caption. “Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many #JADENinc”
In one of his uploads, many people are seen graciously accepting bags of food from the truck. Fans couldn’t help but acknowledge Smith’s philanthropic efforts in the comment section. One fan pointed out that Smith was raised “beautifully” based on the moves he’s been making.
On Friday (July 5), Smith released his album ERYS, which features his lead single “Again.” The 17-track album serves as a follow-up to Smith’s 2017 project, Syre. While speaking on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Smith explained that the album has two different perspectives. “It’s kind of like the angel and devil on my shoulder, and ‘Syre’s’ the angel,” Smith said referring to the feature on “Again.” “That was me telling the world, ‘Yo, this album’s gonna be something you haven’t seen from me.’”
Smith is also set to hit the road this fall with Tyler, the Creator on the IGOR tour. The tour will visit many cities including Miami, Houston, New York City, Atlanta and many more.
