Cardi B continues to voice her opinion regarding politics.
According to CNN, Senator Bernie Sanders met up with Cardi to film a 2020 presidential campaign video aimed to appeal to young voters. “We (are) working on a way to involve more young people in the political process,” an independent told CNN in an interview as Sanders arrived at the shoot. “The future of America depends on young people. They are voting in large numbers, but not large enough numbers.”
While on Instagram yesterday (July 29), the “PRESS” rapper uploaded a photograph of her and Sanders. In her caption, Cardi thanks Sanders for their conversation regarding ongoing issues in today’s society including canceling student debt, climate change and raising the minimum wage.
“Not me, US,” she wrote. “Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country. A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be ? I got a lot of submission and selected the most popular questions to get answered. Stay tuned to see how he will fight for economic, racial, and social justice for all. Together, let’s build a movement of young people to transform this country.LETS LEARN OUR CANDIDATES!”
Last week, the New York spitter revealed that her love for politics manufactured while attending high school. She recalled being placed in advanced classes for government and history classes. More recently, Sanders expressed his mutual respect for the Invasion of Privacy musician and finds her to be quite smart.
“She is really smart,” Sanders said while on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. “And she is deeply concerned about what’s happening in this country. She wants to make sure we improve life for working people in this country, and I’m delighted that she is a supporter.”
