Trae the Truth has always been known to give back to his hometown Houston. From his annual Trae Day event to lending a helping hand to victims of Hurricane Harvey, Trae puts his money where is mouth is when it comes to helping his local community. This time, his philanthropic efforts are assisting local high school students just in time for graduation.

According to KHOU 11, Trae and his Relief Gang charity organization have paid the $65 graduation fee for several of the students at Booker T. Washington High School.

Fatima, a graduating senior, told ABC, “I really appreciate for him to do that because I was struggling on buying it.”

Trae told the news outlet that he wanted to help in any way after learning that students were having a challenge paying the fees.

“The main message is that they’re not alone. We’re proud of them,” Trae. “Sometimes, you need to let people know you appreciate them.”

Trae vowed to do more Houston high schools in a Facebook post where he thanked local business owners for donating to the cause.

Just a few weeks ago, Trae assisted in rescue efforts of several families, middle school students and staff affected by the flooding in Texas. “We’re grabbing the families and transporting them through the areas that have water to get them home,” Trae told ABC. “They [rescue boats] are coming back and forth so we’re doing a pick-up and drop off. It’s hundreds of student still here. Staff still here and everything.”
