Prepare yourselves, Kid Cudi is coming.
As Cudi continues to dominate the festival circuit, he took to Twitter to give fans a pleasant update regarding new music.
“New music next year!! Gonna work the rest of this year. In no rush to do anything right now,” Cudi wrote. “I don’t drop albums every year anymore. Gotta give myself time to do other things. And relax!”
The untitled album will be Cudi’s first solo album since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. Last June, Cudi and Kanye West teamed up to drop their joint project Kids See Ghosts. The album was apart of the G.O.O.D. Music rollout that saw projects from Pusha-T, Teyana Taylor, Nas and West’s solo effort called Ye.
Cudi also confirmed that he would go on tour sometime next year.
The news comes after Cudi announced his new partnership with Adidas. The Adidas x Kid Cudi collection is expected to feature footwear and apparel and will drop later this year.
So far, Cudi has performed at Coachella and Rolling Loud. Next, he’s expected to headline the Hard Summer Music Festival on August 3.
