Coachella became a Smith family affair when Will Smith was a surprise guest during Jaden’s weekend two set.
Will joined Jaden Smith for a performance of Jaden’s hit song “Icon.” Jaden even filmed part of the iconic moment while his dad rapped on stage. Will was dressed in grey sweat pants, white sneakers and a t-shirt from Jaden’s merch collection. Following the performance, both Jaden and Will shared the video clip on their respective Instagram accounts.
“Done Did ‘dat!” the Bad Boys for Life star captioned the video. Meanwhile, Jaden wrote: “I Love You Coachella.”
The Smith family’s patriarch’s performance comes after Jaden’s sister Willow Smith made a surprise appearance during weekend one of Coachella. Willow opened her big brother’s set with an aerial stunt opening solo performance. After Willow wowed the crowd, Jaden performed on top of a white Telsa while longtime family friend Jordyn Woods danced on stage.
On Thursday (April 18), Will Smith announced that he and Martin Lawrence have wrapped up filming for Bad Boys for Life, the third and final installment of the Bad Boys franchise.
“That’s a Wrap! @BadBoys For Life – Ciudad de México,” Smith wrote on Instagram. Now hand me a Margarita and a pack of tropical fruit bubblicious.”
While the plot of the film is unknown, we do know that Will and Lawrence will reprise their roles as Miami police officers Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio, Paola Nuñez, DJ Khaled and Joe Pantoliano. The film is expected to be released in January 2020.
