ScHoolboy Q has kept a relatively safe distance from the spotlight in recent memory. But, now that his new album is complete, he’s back with a spirited vengeance.

After checking in with fans to confirm that his project — which was previously put on hold due to the passing of his close friend and collaborator Mac Miller — is now completed, the TDE artist decided to flex in another capacity: his fitness game.

ScHoolboy Q has been on a health kick the past couple of years, even implementing boxing into his fitness routine. Similarly, Wiz Khalifa has been working on his boxing skills, which inspired ScHoolboy to challenge him in a friendly match.

“Wiz, where you at bro? I got my dogs with me,” Q said in a video clip posted to social media. “I’m a dad now, I got the dad bod right… you got Sebastian now, you gotta get it together, bruh.”

From there, Q shows off what a boxing session is like with his trainer, further emphasizing how he’s ready for all the smoke.

In addition to challenging Wiz to a boxing match, Q has also given fans an update regarding his upcoming album. Since releasing Habits & Contradictions in 2012, Q embarked on a pattern of releasing a new album every two years. After dropping Oxymoron in 2014 and Blank Face in 2016, ScHoolboy Q was on par to drop his next in 2018.

The rapper previously explained his reasoning to delay the project back in September following the tragic passing of Miller.

“You know I drop albums every two years, right?” he said at the time. “But listen, with my n—a gone right now, I just don’t feel right putting out an album. I’ma go back, and I’ma figure out when I’ma put this f—king album out because ya’ll are going to get this album. I promise that. I’m just not ready to walk into the radio station and the first thing they ask me is, ‘So, Mac Miller…’ I’m not ready to deal with those questions. So, right now, I’m not ready to put nothing out.”

Now, months later, the rapper is in a better place and is finally hinting that he’s getting closer to dropping the project.

“Imagine me workin’ on an album for two years and not putting it out top of tHa (LEE LEE)?” Q shared on his Instagram story. “New album, new house, new kid, new car, goin’ for 4 dogs, new goals.”
