Chloe x Halle have been building their fanbase consistently ever since their cover of Beyoncé’s “Pretty Hurts” caught the attention of Queen Bey and the nation alike in 2013.
Much to the delight of fans, the grown-ish stars have now officially released their debut album, _The Kids Are Alright, _a project that was roughly three years in the making.
Spanning 18 tracks, the Parkwood Entertainment-released project includes a small curation of special guests, courtesy Joey Bada$$, GoldLink and Kari Faux. Otherwise, the album beautifully showcases the talents of the sisters, who celebrated the project dropping with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The album also includes the theme song for grown-ish (“Grown”) and their collaboration for Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time (“Warrior.”)
“Our debut album, The Kids Are Alright, means so much to us,” the duo, aged 19 and 17, said in a statement. “This is three years of self-discovery, vulnerability, and growth; all put into one album. We’ve put our hearts and souls into every lyric, every beat, and we cannot wait for the world to hear.”
