Tonight, Havoc confirms to Drink Champs that there is a new Mobb Deep album on the way, though he’s not sure when it will be completed or released. However, that’s not the only new Mobb content brewing.
“It’s gonna be a Mobb Deep documentary,” Hav tells the podcast’s hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. “An extraordinary company gave me a lane—I don’t want to say who yet because the contracts are not done yet, but it’s a good company we all know—and they’re giving me a lane to do documentaries, not just on Mobb Deep, but on a few artists that I love.”
Further down the line, Hav envisions a Hollywood biopic on his legendary group. “I don’t got the name of it yet,” he said. “It’s still a challenge because you don’t want to rush it, do it too fast.”
Of the last films on hip-hop stars, Havoc’s partial to Straight Outta Compton. “I think the N.W.A. one was the best one,” he declared. “When I watched the movie I was like, ‘Oh shit, I can follow the movie without really knowing them.’”
Watch ‘Drink Champs’ with Havoc tomorrow night, Thursday, at 10 p.m. ET on REVOLT TV where he’ll be joined by veteran producer-DJs L.E.S. and Tony Touch, as well as rapper Noyd.
